I am a life-long resident of Springfield. I will give you a view of Springfield from my perspective. This is perfect for newcomers or natives that just need to break out of their same old places of patronage. Keep checking for unique-to-Springfield places to "stop" and visit.

It is absolutely true "you either love it or you don't." I used to hate the Villa and now I love, love, love it!
Si senorita! Muy bueno! (Not too bad for not speaking Spanish, if I do say so myself...)
Give me some sweet sauce! I drizzle this yumminess all over my chicken sancho (hold the burrito sauce). When I'm craving some MV and I don't want to dine in, I'm all for the Comida Deluxe on Glenstone. Drive-thru bliss!
When I first moved to Springfield, it seemed like everyone was always talking about how amazing Mexican Villa is. The first time I ate there, I didn't really like it. But I've since given it another shot, and I really enjoyed it!
Dawn's right, Mexican Villa's sweet sauce is yummy! My taste in food has changed, so I just get the tacos now (which are still excellent - love the white American cheese on them!). The sweet sauce is great on everything!
Ironically, I just went there for lunch today and commented to my friend at how so many restaurants come and go in Springfield, but Mexican Villa stays. It's a Springfield staple (like cashew chicken!) that our parents reminice about eating when they were our age. I buy the sweet sauce by the jar as a staple in my fridge. And the sancho enchilada style is my fave!
